The ministry of the Franciscan Friars in the City of Providence began in 1956 with St. Francis Chapel. Today, 50 years later, our Franciscan Ministry is as diverse as the people we serve.

In all that we do we believe our mission is to answer the call of St. Francis to "heal wounds, unite what has fallen apart, and to bring home those who have lost their way".
